The 13th Annual Bill Krause Golf Outing

On Wednesday, July 22nd, the Midwest Furniture Club held its 13th annual golf outing in honor and memory of their past President and former representative for Century Furniture, Bill Krause.  Before Bill was killed in a tragic automobile accident, Bill and his wife Mary were very instrumental in starting The Alternatives in Education for the Hearing Impaired through the Alexander Graham Bell Montessori School. With his passing, our club decided that going forward, AEHI would be the recipient of monies raised by future golf outings. Over the years we have donated over $80,000; with the last three years totaling over $30.000. Although we have been helped by many and thank them all, we need to recognize Milwaukee Delivery Service: the title Sponsor for those three years.

2015 Golf Outing Donation

Every year, the Midwest Furniture Club donates funds from our golf outing to the Alexander Graham Bell Montessori School which has a wonderful program for hearing impaired children. Below is the thank you letter that we recieved from the AGBM School.

Dear Mark & Club Members:

On behalf of the Alexander Graham Bell Montessori and AEHI School I would like to thank you for your generous donation of $6,000. This money helps support the work of our Montessori School and Deaf Services department.

Each year AGBMS-AEHI continues to advance its mission of ensuring all children are treated with dignity and respect. We enable children with a wide range of unique gifts and needs to reach their highest potential academically, socially, and emotionally, while also cultivating in them an appreciation for diversity and respect for the world in which they live; and by pioneering a nationally recognized program for successfully educating children who are deaf or hard of hearing and children with other special needs. Through our Montessori and Cued speech programs we have seen many lives changed for the better.

The goal of AGBMS-AEH is to continue to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. With the help of donations from supporters such as you we will continue to see children growing and thriving and becoming model citizens.

Thank you again for your generous support of our efforts to provide a well-rounded education for all of the children we serve.

Best regards,

Debra Trude-Suter, PhD
CEO/Executive Director
